About Lamberts Garage Service Centre in Leven

In 1951, Scott Lambert opened a garage in Leven and quickly built up a reputation for knowing Ford cars inside out. Seventy-five years on, we’re still in the town centre and still Ford specialists, and we now look after most other makes and models too.

Built on recommendations

Most of our work comes from people who’ve used us before, or who were sent our way by a friend or neighbour. We’ve grown that way for decades, and it shapes how we deal with every customer.

When we find a problem, we explain it in words that make sense and show you the worn parts if you’d like to see them. We’ll also tell you honestly when something can wait.

The people behind the work

There are 15 of us at Lamberts Garage Service Centre, including seven technicians in the workshop. Between them, they handle everything from routine maintenance to tracking down electrical faults, and the team is EV qualified for hybrid and electric cars.

Cars change quickly, so our training never really stops. Bosch courses keep our technicians up to date with each new generation of engines, electronics, and driver assistance systems.

Bosch Car Service centres are independently owned, but each one has to meet standards set by Bosch. Our workshop is audited against them, which means you get the backing of a name you recognise, with a local team who know you by name.

Inside our workshop

We run six ramps alongside a dedicated Class 4 MOT bay, so MOT tests and repairs can go ahead at the same time. For diagnostics, we use Bosch KTS and Topdon equipment, giving us the capability to find faults on modern cars accurately and quickly.

You’ll notice the workshop is tidy and well organised. We think that matters, because careful work is easier in a space where everything has its place.

An alternative to the main dealer

Plenty of drivers assume a newer car has to go back to the dealer. With us, you’ll typically pay less, get a booking sooner, and have your car back faster. You’ll also speak to the same people each visit, who remember you and your car.

Easy to visit

You’ll find us right in the middle of Leven, a few minutes’ walk from the train and bus stations. Dropping your car off and heading into town or on to work is straightforward, and there’s plenty of parking on site. If you’d rather stay while we work, our waiting room has Wi-Fi, refreshments, and toilets.
